Mr Dr. Felix Schweder
Biography
Dr. Felix W. Schweder studied economics at the University of Wuppertal. Between 2015 and 2021, he worked as a research assistant at the Chair of Finance and Corporate Governance at the Schumpeter School of Business, University of Wuppertal. There, he earned his doctorate under the supervision of Prof. Dr. André Betzer, with advisory support from Prof. Dr. Christine Volkmann, with a dissertation entitled "Direktorenwahlen - ein Vertrauensvotum - Einfluss wahrnehmbarer Gesichtsmerkmale auf die Wahl von Direktoren der Boards großer US-amerikanischer börsennotierter Kapitalgesellschaften (Director Elections – A Vote of Confidence – The Influence of Perceived Facial Features on the Election of Directors of the Boards of Large US Publicly Traded Companies)," receiving his doctorate in November 2020.
His research has focused on behavioral finance, specifically on identifying systematic factors influencing human decision-making to explain and predict events in international financial markets. In this context, he has taken an interdisciplinary approach, focusing not only on economic factors but also on processes of human information processing (selection, acquisition, and processing) as well as the formation of expectations and decision-making by market participants.
Since January 2021, Dr. Schweder has been working at the University of Wuppertal. F. W. Schweder at the Chair of Business Start-up and Economic Development (since 2022 Chair of Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Transformation) & UNESCO Chair of Entrepreneurship and Intercultural Management as a research assistant.
