Aim of the seminar

The aim of the doctoral seminar will be to examine theories and methods of empirical analysis in entrepreneurship research.

Structure and schedule

• Presentation and discussion of possible research designs, approaches to a theoretical foundation and methods of empirical analysis
• Participants present their research projects and the methodology used in an approx. 15-minute presentation, followed by a group discussion

Please send registrations for the doctoral seminar to sek-ls-volkmann@wiwi.uni-wuppertal.de by 15 September in the winter semester and by 15 March in the summer semester. You will receive further information on the seminar programme after registration.

The doctoral seminar will take place in the winter semester 2025/26 on 23.01.2026 as a block event.

The doctoral seminar will take place in the summer semester 2025 on 25 April 2025 as a block event.

Performance requirements

The awarding of a certificate requires participation in all lectures and discussion rounds as well as a 15-minute presentation on your own research project.
